Deep ruby in colour with a crimson shimmer, a crown forming on the sides of the glass to suggest serious body. A slow-opening nose of wild blackberries, blueberries, red currants and sweet spices blend with the pungent yet unintrusive notes of the wood barrel.
Big-bodied on the palate, with a firm but ripe tannic structure, and a more tart, sweet flavour of black berries, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla, with new oak barrel still evident on the finish. A young but serious cabernet franc that will only improve with time.
